Rev. Everett Lloyd Fletcher, affectionately known as Pastor Fletch is a preacher, creative visionary, and transformational leader who brings passion, purpose, and power to every assignment. Since being licensed in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in December 2014, he has boldly proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity, conviction, and compassion. Currently, he serves as the devoted pastor of Historic Saint Paul A.M.E. Church in Independence, Missouri, where legacy meets fresh vision.
Born in Bossier City, Louisiana and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, Pastor Fletch is a proud graduate of Sumner Academy of Arts and Science. He holds degrees with an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, blending strategic insight with spiritual sensitivity. His impressive business acumen has led him to serve as a consultant, planner, strategist, and creative director for organizations across the country. He is currently pursuing a seminary degree to deepen his theological foundation and further enrich his ministry.
Pastor Fletch wears many hats with grace. He is the Area Director of Admissions and Marketing for two skilled nursing facilities, and also serves as Chief Executive and Operating Officer of VELF Creative Designs and Events—offering excellence in event and strategic planning, creative graphics, promotional branding, programming and consultation.
A gifted vocalist and choir director, Pastor Fletch refined his musical talents at Florida A&M University. He directed the Midwest Conference A.M.E. Youth and Young Adult Choir for five years and led, Elevated Praise, a local Kansas City gospel group. He continues to use music as a powerful tool of ministry and healing as he serves, in addition to pastoring, as the Minister of Music at Historic Saint Paul.
Before entering pastoral leadership, his faithful service spanned numerous roles: Minister of Music, Christian Education teacher, YPD advisor, Men’s Ministry leader, Young Adult Ministry coordinator, and Steward. His ministry journey reflects consistent dedication, whether in the spotlight or behind the scenes.
Today, he continues to lead beyond the pulpit. He is President of the Midwest Conference Richard Allen Young Adult Council, the Social Media Officer for the Midwest North District of the Midwest Conference of the A.M.E. Church, Coordinator of the Midwest Conference Sons of Allen, and Immediate Past Editor of the 5th Episcopal District Richard Allen Young Council, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pastor Fletcher stood as a digital pioneer, voluntarily equipping senior pastors across the district with streaming tools and resources for virtual worship, modeling servant leadership in action.
His ministry is marked by compassion, humility, and spiritual maturity beyond his years, allowing him to connect deeply with congregations across generations and cultural backgrounds. He is a consensus builder, a positive force, and a visionary with an unwavering “can-do” spirit that uplifts those around him. His ability to relate to small rural congregations, sometimes where he has commuted hundreds of miles without compensation, has spoken to his belief that “big or small—the work is all divine.”
Pastor Fletch’s community impact extends beyond the church. He sits on the board for the Midwest Conference Mission Possible Initiative. His service has been honored by Friends of Yates, Inc., naming him a Black Man of Distinction.
He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc., and a Free and Accepted Prince Hall Affiliated Mason. Above all, he treasures his life as a family man—blessed beyond measure to be married to his beloved queen, Vikteria L. Fletcher, and the joyful father of their daughter, his princess, Vikteria L. Fletcher II.
"True leadership isn’t about a title—it’s about touching lives, building bridges, and leaving places better than you found them. When you walk in purpose, God makes sure every step counts."
